You can set up Microsoft Outlook to use POP3 or IMAP.

POP3:

1. To set up a new e-mail account, click Tools, E-mail Accounts...
   
   
   



2. Select Add a new e-mail account and click Next.
   
   
   



3. Select POP3 and click Next.
   
   
   



4. Enter your data into the relevant fields and click "More Settings"
   
   
   




Your Name	The name to be displayed in your sent e-mails.
E-Mail Address	Your GMX address
Incoming mail server	The incoming mail server pop.gmx.com
Outgoing mail server	The outgoing mail server mail.gmx.com
User Name	Your GMX e-mail address
Password	Your password




5. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and confirm with OK and Next.
   
   
   



6. Now click Finish.
   
   
   
   Congratulations! You're now ready to send and retrieve e-mails with your GMX Account.
   

IMAP

1. To set up a new e-mail account with Microsoft Outlook, click Tools → E-mail Accounts...
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. Select Add a new e-mail account and click Next.
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Select IMAP and click Next.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Enter your data as shown below:
   
   
   
   
   • Your Name: Enter an address to be shown as sender address
   • E-Mail Address: Your GMX e-mail address
   • Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.gmx.com
   • Outgoing mail server: mail.gmx.com
   • Username: Your GMX address, including @gmx.com
   • Password: Your GMX password
   When you are done, click More Settings.
   
   
   
   
5. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and confirm with OK and Next.
   
   
   
   
6. Click Finish to exit the wizard. Congratulations! You're now ready to send and retrieve e-mails with your GMX account.
